Southwestern has progressed from its pioneering roots to become a place to pursue intellectual and personal growth. As Texas’ top undergraduate liberal arts and sciences university, Southwestern prepares students for a life of unlimited potential. Here, we engage the minds and transform the lives of those who seek to embrace the challenges and opportunities of the future.

Charter Day Recap

175th Birthday Cake

On February 5, 2015 Southwestern celebrated the 175th anniversary of the original charter. Following an organ recital and Chapel service, students, alumni, faculty, staff and community members gathered for a commemorative photo on the mall. A party in the McCombs Campus Center followed and included the announcement of a gift from Margaret S. Odiorne on behalf of her husband Truman J Odiorne ’66. Relive Charter Day festivities with photos, video and social media from the event.
