Mattie Kotzur ’16 is offered a flute position in the 2015 World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles
The 2015 World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) Youth Wind Orchestra (WYWO) is the most outstanding international youth wind orchestras, where they select the finest young musicians from all over the world. The orchestra will rehearse for a week and will conclude with a premiere performance of Brett Abigaña’s Symphony No. 2 - La Commedia, which is based on Dante Alighieri’s poem La Commedia.
WASBE is the only international organization of wind band conductors, composers, performers, publishers, teachers, instrument makers, and friends of wind music. It is the only organization completely dedicated to enhancing the quality of the wind band throughout the world and exposing its members to new worlds of repertoire, musical culture, people and places. WASBE is a non-profit international association open to all individuals, institutions and industries interested in symphonic wind bands and wind ensembles as serious and distinctive mediums of musical expression and cultural heritage.
