The Fall II session listed below will start after Fall Break and continue through the end of the semester, which is 8 weeks of classes for $20 (only about $2.50/class)!  Please click and download the pdf document for more information (e.g. specific class dates, fees, and instructors).

BARRE ABOVE FITNESS

SIRA is offering this new above barre fitness class that fuses standing on and off barre progressions with yoga and Pilates in a unique full body workout.  Flexibility, core strength, balance and elements of HIIT combine in this challenging conditioning class.  Resistance bands, Pilates mini balls and hand weights will be used at the barre and on the mat.  Be ready to lunge, squat, crunch, pushup, and plank yourself to a new level of fitness.

Class meets in the CJR Aerobics Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:15-1:00pm

YOGA

Nurture and energize the entire self through the fusion of dynamic poses, breath work and deep relaxation. The practice of yoga encourages greater flexibility, strength, balance, self-awareness and tranquility. Participants of all levels are welcome to attend. Feel free to bring your own mat, if you wish, or use a mat provided by SIRA. Here is a description of the yoga that SIRA offers this semester:

Hatha Slow Flow – This slow and meditative breath guided practice gives each individual time to explore and refine each pose. The pace of the class places emphasis on safe alignment. Every body is unique therefore finding a variation of each pose that best fits your body is a way of customizing our own practice. This is yoga for all, including newer students who need time to learn and explore, as well as, for seasoned yoga practitioners looking to deepen their awareness by slowing down. 

Class meets in the CJR Aerobics Room on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:15-6:05pm

ZUMBA

The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away.  Zumba® Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

No prior Zumba® experience is necessary.  Comfortable tennis/fitness shoes are recommended. 

Class meets in the CJR Aerobics Room on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:20pm and Thursdays from 4:15-5:05pm
